Montreal Impact confirm negotiations with Didier Drogba

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba confirms talks with MLS club over deal
The Montreal Impact are engaged in talks with former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, the MLS franchise has confirmed.

Sources confirmed last week that several teams were in the mix to land Drogba, 37, with the Chicago Fire making the strongest push, and one source saying the Fire were prepared to offer Drogba an 18-month contract worth around $2.5 million per year.

Three-year-old falls into well while playing with friends

A three-year-old boy, Emmanuel Samuel, died on Sunday after he fell inside a well in front of a building on Hassan Sule Street, Ita Oluwo, in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.

3 Farmers Arrested in Wales for Running “Sheep Brothel

Three men have been jailed after being convicted of running an animal brothel in Swansea, Wales.

The ring leaders Adam Cafferty and John Cafferty and their father David Cafferty ran a ‘gentlemen’s club’ known as “The Ram Inn” in Grange Road, Swansea.

The brothers, 31 and 28 and father 52 admitted keeping an animal brothel between January 2011 and July 2015 and a jury took less than three hours to find them all guilty....

EFCC set to probe Jonathan’s ministers, aides

THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has concluded plans to commence the probe of the former President Goodluck Jonathan with investigations into the financial transactions of his ministers and aides.

The PUNCH learnt that the Chairman of the commission, Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, had already directed that all petitions against former public officers at the federal level should be forwarded to him to be acted upon.

Findings showed that former ministers, special advisers, heads of parastatals and those of other Federal Government agencies would be invited for interrogation by the EFCC in few weeks from now......

Today’s Bible reading defines wisdom as the principal thing in life. Wisdom is most important because you need it to relate effectively with God, the devil and his cohorts. You also need wisdom to govern your relationships with friends and foes. At work, at school and in the ministry, you need wisdom. With wisdom, you can successfully handle all your life’s pursuits. Wisdom connects everything you do. Wisdom can mean the difference between life and death, success and failure, wealth and poverty, growth and retardation. Everything you can ever ask for will come to you if you have wisdom. There are different types of wisdom operating in the natural and spiritual realms. There is devilish wisdom, human wisdom and divine wisdom. Jesus Christ is declared to be the Wisdom of God in 1 Corinthians 1:24:
“But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.”
If wisdom is the principal thing, and Jesus Christ is the Wisdom of God, it therefore follows that Jesus Christ is the Principal Person. There is a link between the principal thing and the Principal Person. But why is wisdom so crucial? Proverbs 3:35 says,
“The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.”
Your pursuit of wisdom will deliver you glory. No wonder the Bible says if you have Jesus Christ, you automatically receive glory (Colossians 1:27). Conversely, if you lack wisdom, shame will be waiting at around the corner for you. There is a direct link between wisdom and a glorious future. Glory is the opposite of shame. Sickness, disease, failure, defeat, poverty, barrenness, stagnation, disappointment are all products of shame. When you have Jesus, you receive wisdom, and when you get wisdom, you have access to glory, which makes every token of shame disappear. As the principal thing, getting every other thing without getting wisdom amounts to a waste of time. In the same vein, acquiring material wealth, academic degrees and attaining heights in any field without having a personal relationship with the Principal Person converts one’s gains into one big loss! In all that you strive for, never stop seeking for more of Jesus and His wisdom!
Key Point:
Having Jesus can deliver every other thing to you, but getting every other thing cannot give you Jesus.

Photos were posted on Facebook showing Penuel Mnguni, who calls himself a prophet, dropping snakes into the mouths of people who had come to listen to him.

METROPOLITAN POLICE NOW REQUIRES YORUBA AS ONE OF IT'S SECOND LANGUAGES

One of the requirements to join the UK Metropolitan police now is the ability to speak a second language in addition to English. Nigeria's Yoruba is one of the 14 languages. The police say this is because 300 languages are spoken in London.

Scotland Yard has come under fire today after placing an advert demanding that anyone wanting to join as a police officer be able to speak a second language. The Metropolitan Police wants to bolster the number of officers able to speak and understand 14 languages which are widely used across London.
