Khloé Kardashian has reflected on the difficulties her family faced while adjusting to Caitlyn Jenner's gender transition in the public eye.
Khloé appeared on The Project on Thursday and said: 'But I think there was a hard time for the entire family, that we were all transitioning with her, but in front of an audience.'
The TV personality, who is in Australia to launch Kardashian Kids, labelled Caitlyn's journey 'a beautiful thing.'
'With Caitlyn, I mean, it's a beautiful thing that she's transitioned and that she is strong enough to have her own voice and wanting to make such monumental, beautiful moves and be that crusader to do so.'
'But I think there was a hard time for the entire family, that we were all transitioning with her, but in front of an audience, I think that's not really the normal way to go about it, you know.'
She added: 'There is a lot of raw emotions, that it's hard to do in front of a camera.'
In April, Caitlyn, before transitioning, first opened up to Diane Sawyer about her journey.
Her new E! reality show that will be documenting her life, I Am Cait, has just premiered in the US.
In July, she also had a cover for Vanity Fair in which she made her debut as Caitlyn.
Caitlyn had told the publication about being open about her transition: 'To be able to wake up in the morning, be yourself, get dressed, get ready to go out, and just be like a normal person. That’s a wonderful feeling to go through life.'
Khloé further told The Project her and her family 'were trying to be really open and raw with it.'
'And I think, we all got through it and we are all over, that's completely behind us. So we are just happy for her. We just want her to be happy,' she said.
'But there was definitely a moment, that was, really tough for all of us.'
She added her and her family, 'don't like to say that Bruce is gone, per say.'
'We, my sisters and I, we will call Caitlyn, Bruce, and we have been told that is completely fine,' she said.
'And she has told us, we are allowed to call her any name we want to. Because on the phone, when she calls me, it's the same voice as Bruce. And if I'm not physically with her, it's hard to remember in the moment that I'm talking to Caitlyn, if that makes sense.'
According to TMZ, Kris Jenner, 59, visited Caitlyn at her house in Malibu to meet her for the first time since transitioning.
But step-daughter Kim has talked about Caitlyn in the press and supported her, and upon first seeing Caitlyn all dressed up, told Access Hollywood: 'She looked beautiful, really beautiful.'
However, in a preview for the second episode of I Am Cait, Kim had some tough words for Caitlyn.
'You look amazing, it's your time, but you don't have to bash us on your way up,' Kim said.
It is believed the comment was in referral to Cailtyn's words to Vanity Fair, the reasoning for her marriage breakdown to Kris.
'Twenty per cent was gender and 80 per cent was the way I was treated,' Caitlyn told the magazine.
Caitlyn has children Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Brody Jenner, Casey Jenner, Burt Jenner and Brandon Jenner from previous relationships and is step-parent to Kim, Khloé, Kourtney and Rob Kardashian.
