Late last year, a hacker forced Madonna's hand and threw a wrench in her album release plans by leaking several of the record's demos. First she dropped an unplanned EP with half a dozen tracks from the project on iTunes, and then the full Rebel Heart album was released a few weeks before planned in March. Now, the hacker behind the leak, an Israeli man named Adi Lederman, has been sentenced to 14 months in jail after being arrested back in January. According to Billboard, Madonna tightened up her cyber security by keeping everything offline after the leak hit. "We don't put things up on servers anymore," she told the site earlier this year. "Everything we work on, if we work on computers, we're not on WiFi, we're not on the Internet, we don't work in a way where anybody can access the information. Hard drives of music are hand-carried to people. We don't leave music laying around."
