The businessman's room still had bottles and drinks left out by the previous guest
A businessman claims he was left 'sickened' when he checked into a £100 hotel room with used towels and bed sheets from the previous guest.
Lee Green, 29, said he was confronted with a bed that had just been slept in, litter and damp, used towels when he checked into his 'filthy' Premier Inn room on a business trip.
The sales manager claims that there was just one member of staff on shift who told him that there were no cleaners working and no spare rooms so he would have to sleep in the used bed.

'It was playing on my mind over dinner. I couldn't believe they expected me to sleep in a bed that had been used by the previous guest.'
When Lee returned to the hotel, he was told there still no rooms available for him to switch to.
He went up to his room for the night and considered sleeping on the sofa but eventually went back to the reception and demanded that something be done.
Lee said: 'There was no way I was going to climb into a bed that had just been used by someone else. It's disgusting to think that they thought this acceptable.
'So I went back down and I told them that they couldn't seriously expect me to stay there. Eventually, at midnight, I was switched to another room that was intended for disabled people. A few hours earlier they told me they were fully-booked, so I have no idea where this room suddenly came from.
'When I went down in the morning there was a different member of staff who basically just hung the woman from the previous day out to dry.
Dad of one, Lee with his family has asked his HR team to consider switching their hotel stays to another chain
'That made me even more unimpressed. I would seriously consider not staying at a Premier Inn again and our human resources team have already mentioned the possibility of switching to another chain.
'I do a lot of travelling through work and probably stay in hotels around 30 times a year but this is the worst service I've ever come across.
'I genuinely think I might have got a better response if I had tweeted Lenny Henry and asked him for a new room. It was ridiculous.'
A Premier Inn spokesperson said: 'We are sorry to hear about Mr Green's experience at our St Albans Bricket Wood hotel.
'The comfort and welfare of our guests is of paramount importance to us and we would like to reassure customers that our housekeeping staff go through extensive training to ensure that each room meets the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
'Experiences such as these are extremely rare.
'Mr Green's stay was refunded and as a gesture of goodwill we would like to offer him an overnight stay and breakfast at any of our hotels across the UK.'
