Whitney Houston Was Blackmailed For $250k To Hide Her Lesbian Affair- Bodyguard Reveals

Whitney Houston was blackmailed 23 years ago by someone purporting to know all about the singer's love life, a new book alleges...
Author Ian Halperin makes the claim in his book released this week, 'Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame,' the New York Post reported.
Citing a FBI report, the newspaper says an attorney sought to have Houston pay him $250,000 back in 1992.
The attorney claimed to have 'knowledge of intimate details regarding Whitney Houston’s romantic relationships and will go public with the information' while speaking to a federal agent, an excerpt of the report quoted by the New York Post said.
The newspaper explained that Houston and female pal Robyn Crawford had been accused of being romantically involved when the alleged blackmailing occurred.
Another piece of the report quoted by the New York Post said John Houston 'settled the matter by sending a confidentiality agreement almost immediately.'
According to the newspaper, Whitney's ex-bodyguard Kevin Ammons claims in the unauthorized biography John Houston was afraid of Crawford publicly revealing her relationship with his singer daughter.
Ammons alleges in the book Houston offered to pay him $6,000 to threaten Crawford, and the bodyguard said no before Houston declared he wanted her monitored, the Post reported.

'Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame,' also alleges Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina was a 14-year-old drug addict, the New York Daily News reported.
Bobbi Kristina, now 22, made headlines earlier this year for being in a coma from which doctors have said she is unlikely to ever regain consciousness.
Whitney and R & B singer Bobby Brown, Bobbi Kristina's father, married in 1992 before they split in April 2007. As Whitney attempted to relaunch her musical career, her daughter struggled, according to the newspaper.
In an excerpt of Halperin's book quoted by the New York Daily News, Halperin says 'A 17-year-old Bobbi Kristina was left to her own devices in Atlanta, where she had taken up with a hard-partying crowd, including the boy who had moved into her house three years earlier, Nick Gordon.'
Whitney sent Bobbi Kristina to rehab and called off her daughter's '18th birthday extravaganza' after images depicting the girl using cocaine were purchased, the New York Daily News wrote.
The new book alleges that both Bobbi Kristina and Gordon were involved in drugs in Atlanta, according to newspaper.
A book excerpt published by the New York Daily News includes a quote from one of Bobbi Kristina's friends: 'The crowd she hung out with was out of control. The past couple of years she hung with a bunch of crazies, they were wild and reckless.'
Whitney died on February 12, 2012, and found in a bathtub, it was reported at the time. It was widely reported earlier this year Bobbi Kristina was discovered unconscious in a bathtub on January 31.
Via the New York Post, Halperin's book quotes a drug addict as saying 'She probably took the plunge.'
In an excerpt published by the newspaper, Halperin says 'He told me that when somebody "drops" - which seems to be a term for an OD - there are all kinds of ways to revive them. "I’ve never seen it done in a bath," he said to me, "but I sort of helped bring somebody around with a cold shower. You stick them under the cold water and you slap them to bring them around.'
