Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney and wife Coleen expecting a third child

The pair – who have two children Klay and Kai – took to Twitter to announce the exciting news.

Alongside a smiling emoji with heart eyes, Coleen posted: “Baby number 3 is on the way ...... January!! We are so happy and excited.”
Footballer Wayne also confirmed the news, tweeting: "Delighted that me and @ColeenRoo have our 3rd child on the way."....

Rumours started to circulate over whether Coleen was pregnant after she posted a picture to her Instagram account from her family holiday in Barbados.

The picture appeared to show a baby bump and her fans were quick to speculate with one writing: "Thats a big stomach there, is there another one coming?"

Another user posted: "I think she’s preggers x."
Coleen recently opened up about wanting another baby – and confessed that she would love a girl.

Speaking to Closer she said: "I would love another baby! I don’t mind whether it’s a girl or a boy but I do think a little girl would complete our family.

"Wayne would love to have a girl because he grew up with brothers."
